The programme is designed to train expert researchers in the field of human nutrition and its related diseases, from nutritional epidemiology to molecular changes linked to the action of nutrients through deficiency or excess, with a clear application in clinical practice and public health.

This PhD programme will boost this type of research in basic nutrition, clinical practice and public health through the University Institute for Research into Health Sciences (IUNICS) at the UIB, the Balearic Islands Health Research Institute (IDISBA) and CIBEROBN (Physiopathology of Obesity and Nutrition) at the Carlos III Health Institute.
